Look, I get it! Choosing what to wear for family photos can actually be the hardest part of the whole process. As a mom myself I know planning and coordinating for others can be overwhelming. As your Phoenix family photographer I want to help take that stress away and make planning outfits as easy as possible. Let me give you some useful tips!
Neutrals, Always!!
Neutral colors never go out of style. They are timeless, no matter the season. Neutral colors will always win even with changing trends.
While neutral tones help maintain the photographer’s signature style and provide a cohesive feel across your photos. Consider adding soft light colors to complement the neutrals. This adds a gentle pop of color without overwhelming the overall look.
Putting It All Together
Start with mom. I highly suggest to getting dressed up in a dress or skirt! I promise this will take your photos to the next level. Choose a color pallet or print you love and pull colors for other outfits from that.
For the rest of the family: When choosing outfits, think about textures, and incorporating soft patterns, and adding layers. You can give each family member a distinct color, but keep the tones cohesive with neutrals and soft accents. This approach helps everyone stand out while still maintaining a unified look.
Comfort and Confidence
Above all, wear what makes you feel comfortable and confident. When you feel good in your outfit, it will shine through in your photos. To assist with your outfit choices, I’m happy to provide guidance and review your selections once you have them finalized.
